About Scotia Philately

For those of you who do not know us, Scotia Philately Ltd. is owned by Colin Harding and Robert Hepworth, and both of us have been in the "Stamp Business" for a very long time, having started our careers with Stanley Gibbons Ltd. when it was at its zenith in the early 1970s. Since we set up Scotia Philately Ltd. in 1984, many collectors have used our expertise and contacts to build up Gold Medal collections, and we have also sold many exceptional collections through our efficient Private Treaty service

Over the years, we have handled some of the greatest collections and stocks ever to come on the market including the Maximus Great Britain collection, the Canman China collection, the fabulous Harry Nissen stock and the Marc Haas U.S.A. collection. This is not to boast, but just to show you that our long and wide-ranging experience of the market over a period of nearly forty five years puts us in a strong position to help you with your collection, whether this be in building it up or in achieving the best selling price for you when you wish to sell it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you buy stamps, or can you sell my collection for me?

Yes we do, and yes we can! There is a market for every stamp or postal history collection, apart from very basic schooltime collections, and we pride ourselves on being able to achieve the best prices on behalf of our vendors.
